Hello Peterson, the error of “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration” is caused by either an Internet issue on your side, or the server of wordpress.org is temporarily down at that moment, and you may try again later.
The second issue of Error Establishing database connection, is displayed when you have not setup the database well. For instance you might have forgotten to enter the database details in the wp-config.php file, or you might have done so but the file wp-config.php is not named correctly as it should, please repeat that lesson of wordpress installation step by step you’ll see a step you’re missing, if not you can talk to us for more clarification.
